Whether it’s access to courses, mentorship programmes, or on-the-job training, a robust EVP communicates a company’s dedication to helping its employees advance their careers and stay relevant in a fast-changing world. Offers Flexibility in Working Hours Flexible working is no longer just seen as a perk. It’s a requirement for many employees. In the wake of the pandemic, hybrid and remote working options have become standard expectations for a lot of job seekers. A well-crafted EVP will highlight how your company embraces flexible work arrangements, allowing employees to strike a healthy balance between work and personal life. This not only boosts morale but also increases productivity and job satisfaction. Encourages Career Progression Employees want to know that there is room for growth within the company. A strong EVP should emphasise opportunities for career progression, from promotions to lateral moves that allow employees to broaden their skills. When people see a clear path to advance within your organisation, particularly with AI becoming more prevalent, they’re more likely to stay long-term. Works in a healthy, inclusive environment Increasingly, workers align themselves with organisations synch with their own ethical beliefs. This can be demonstrated in a number of ways. Firstly, the business must show strong “green” credentials, from recycling to energy reduction and mitigating emissions. However, it also includes things like Diversity, Equality and inclusion (DE&I), creating an inclusive environment where everyone is accepted and encouraged to be their authentic selves. Well done to our colleague John Hetherington for his recent success at running the TCS London Marathon on 21st April. John ran in aid of Huntington's Disease Association and we were proud to fully support him with this. On Tuesday30th April, Director Liam Salkeld thanked John personally on behalf of Riverside Recruitment and donated £200, helping John smash his original target of £1000!! 2024 sees us making lots of positive changes here at Riverside Recruitment UK, and this includes some new starters! One being Jessica Yates, our new Apprentice Recruitment Consultant... Jessica studied at Caldew School and left in June 2022, not fully knowing what direction to go in with her own career choices. Her older sister works within HR, so this inspired Jessica to this field. Wanting to gain valuable experience and skills in an area where she has passion to progress in 'working with people', we feel Jessica will fit perfectly within recruitment and our ethos of supporting people and local businesses.
