EDM Engineer to join a leading precision engineering manufacturer based in
Glasgow.

The RoleAs an EDM Engineer, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Spark and Wire Erosion machines to perform high-precision EDM machining operations, producing complex components to tight tolerances within a quality-driven manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Setting up and operating Spark Erosion and Wire Erosion machines
- Loading raw materials and unloading finished components
- Adjusting machine settings to ensure optimal machining performance
- Working from technical drawings and manufacturing to precise customer tolerances
- Following all operating procedures, safety guidelines, and process documentation
- Maintaining accurate logs of production issues, equipment adjustments, and repairs
- Conducting machine inspections for mechanical or safety concerns
- Ensuring machines remain stocked with tooling and materials to minimise downtime
- Maintaining a strong safety focus while working around operational machinery
- Providing flexibility to support production requirements during busier periods

Qualifications & Experience- Time served EDM Engineer or equivalent relevant experience
- Proven experience in Spark Erosion and Wire Erosion machining
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
- Experience working to high quality standards on precision components
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety regulations and procedures
Working Hours- Full-time, permanent position
- 37 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, three-shift rotation covering early, back, and night shifts
