An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well established Apart-hotel in Carlisle as a Chef. All levels considered (Commis, CDP, Senior, Sous or Second Chef!).
Our client are looking to attract top talent and are offering a Sign on Fee of £1800, or a relocation package for those wanting to explore the delights of Cumbria by paying for 2-4 weeks B&B accommodation until sufficient accommodation can be found.
The Apart-hotel is a modern operation housing a restaurant, bar and offering space for a variety of events and functions. The on site kitchen facilities are some of the best in the region due to the size, number of Kitchens (prep kitchens and cooking kitchens are aplenty!), and abundance of equipment, all of which are in excellent or new condition. Should anything break....don't worry, it will be fixed as quickly as possible so as not to disrupt any day to day operations.
The Role
You will play an integral part in the team, working with menu development, taking charge of the H&S of the Kitchen and ensuring everyone, and everything, is working as smoothly as possible.
The restaurant and bar typically serve between 50 - 150 covers depending on the day or weekend, whilst events and functions are capable of serving up to 300 guests at any one time.
The menu's are a mix of Bistro, A la Carte and Culturally Inspired dishes therefore you will be able to explore a variety of cooking methods whilst getting involved in developing menus alongside the Head Chef and up to 12 other team members.
This is a financially stable organisation where the staff are at the heart of everything they do. You will be looked after, given autonomy to create new ideas whilst being trusted to assist in running one of the best places to eat in Carlisle!
Salary up to £30k + Benefits & Tips depending on experience.

38 hour contracts 5 days over 7.
