Do you have a background in transport and logistics? Are you looking to make the next step in your career with a national UK logistics company?

About the role:
Based at a busy distribution site in the Lockerbie area you will be responsible for the daily management of the fleet, as well as providing administration and planning support.

A key part of this role will be the planning and scheduling of routes, deliveries and collections within specified time frames, and coordinating workloads to maximise efficiency. You will need to be mindful of regulations such as Driver Hour Rules and Working Time Regulations.

You need to be health & safety minded, ensuring policies, procedures and legislation are implemented at all times. In addition, you will liaise with Management to ensure inspections of vehicles and MOTS are carried out in a timely manner.

About you:
You will need to have a proactive approach to managing your workload, with the ability to work well in a fast paced environment, managing multiple projects and client enquiries . You will need strong communication skills, with an emphasis on customer service and an will need to have a good phone manner.
