We are looking for an experience Head Chef to join our team here at the Wasdale Head Inn.We are a small hotel with a very busy walkers bar and we also have a restaurant.You would be require to work as part of our kitchen team in a very busy kitchen. The head chef would make the winter menu, summer menu, do the ordering, aim our margin goals, lead the kitchen by example. Email us if you feel like it's a good challenge for you.The hotel is in a beautiful remote part of the lake district.There is live in accomadation available.We could also offer the job to a couple with one working on the bar or in kitchen too.
You'll be in charge of a busy kitchen, serving up to 300 bar meals a day in the height of season. We also have a 30 seater restaurant.
You'll be required to train and develop the existing staff, and make them into an efficient team.
This is not just a Head Chef job, it's an opportunity to build your own team, mould them and take the kitchen to the next level.
The emphasis is on home cooked food here, nothing is frozen and bought in - just good, honest food.
There is an opportunity to expand the restaurant and put your stamp on the food which is served in this very busy Inn.
