Riverside Recruitment are looking to recruit a Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our client based in the Penrith area.
You will be working within the shift team dealing with breakdowns, repairs and general maintenance of machines across the site. You will be involved with projects, building and installing machines. The In addition, you will be required to maintain the site utilities, to maintain the electrical aspect of site utilities, steam boiler, compressed air and extraction.
You will be working a variety of shifts including days, nights and weekend work over an average of 39 hours per week between Monday to Friday (6.00am-2.00pm/2.00pm-10.00pm) and Sunday night shifts. Alternating 3 week rota.
£13.69 plus shift allowance.
(Shift allowance 7.5% early shifts, 15% back shifts, 25% night shifts).
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
You and your team will be responsible for ensuring the plant runs efficiently, without any production downtime, finding and diagnosing faults quickly and efficiently. You will be electrical maintenance biased, with the ability to perform basic PLC laptop programming for editing, fault finding and diagnosing. As a part of this role you will also be responsible for filling in job sheets and risk assessments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- C&G, NVQ or an HNC
- A time-served electrician/engineer (ideally 18th edition) - necessary
- Experience with lockout and isolation procedures - necessary
- Experience of Plc systems - desirable
- Pneumatic and hydraulic experience - desirable
- Hydraulic press experience - desirable
- FLT and platform licence - desirable
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of basic electrical principles and experience, and an understanding of basic mechanical, hydraulic principles and experience. You will need to be a good team player, should be flexible and enthusiastic, and willing to learn.
